HI, this is Jeff, Owner/Director of Peoria Child Care since 1979. While successfully managing a staff at a large corporation, my mother called to inform me that the little day care center she used to pull us past in the wagon, on the way to the grocery store, was up for sale.

I had worked in a child care center while attending school and fell in love with how eager kids were to learn and how easy it was to make them happy.  I quickly began to feel like I could be a major contributer in the positive growth of each child I encountered.

After leaving kids to get a real job in the real world and make a real living I began to miss the real fulfillment of what I had come to realize was my mission in this world.

Over the objection of my corporate superiors, I turned in my resignation and purchased that little day care center.

I put my suits in storage and pulled out a more casual wardrobe that would not prohibit me from getting down on the floor or in the sand on kid level.

Next, I went on a quest to find a staff of teachers who shared my same vision and heart for enhancing our future through our collective “Love to Grow by.”
